Pro Logic XD Distance

Don't get put off by the fact this isn't a "fashionable" sea fishing brand. This is genuinely a fantastic mono, and one I have used on and off over the last few years. It does everything you want a modern mono to do. It's smooth, limp and memory free, has a great knot strength and has great abrasion resistance. All in all a very good line for fixed spool beach use. All of this on top of the fact it's only £15 for a 1000m spool!
